Follow these simple steps to install OpenDraft on your computer

Using Claude Code or Codex?
Add OpenDraft as a skill. Your agent does the writing, so no model API key is needed:
npx skills add federicodeponte/opendraft --skill autonomous-researchWant the Python engine instead? Pick your system below. It installs with pip install opendraft; a draft costs about $0.35 to $3 in API fees with your own key.

Open Terminal
Press ⌘ Command + Space, type Terminal, and press Enter.
💡 Terminal is a built-in app on every Mac. It lets you run commands.

Install OpenDraft
Copy and paste this command into Terminal, then press Enter:
curl -sL opendraft.xyz/install | bashThis will automatically install Python and all dependencies. It takes about 2-3 minutes.

Run OpenDraft
Once installed, start generating papers with:
opendraft🎉 That's it!
OpenDraft will guide you through creating your first research paper.
